One of the blocks on my completed RBD quilt - post later this weeki!

My "aim for" list last week was generous but unrealistic considering Thanksgiving week. Here is how I fared in accomplishments:
❌1. Sandwich, quilt, and bind Indian Corn. - Sandwiched and started quilting and ran out of thread! Thread was ordered and delivered and is now waiting for me to finish quilting.
❌2. Quilt and bind SAHRR quilt.
✅3. Bind RBD block challenge quilt. - Finished it! Haven't posted about it yet
❌4. Post about my quilts. - Still working on my posts for RBD and DashAlong
✅5. TV time slow stitching - I did accomplish a stitch or two

Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange Project

I did almost finish my upcoming project for the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange at Just Let Me Quilt. My post is on December 9, so I will be working on that this week.

My goals for the coming week:
1. Finish quilting Indian Corn
2. Make Color Challenge block for November and post later today!
3. Make new Pieces of the Santa Fe Trail block and post
4. Finish Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange project and get post ready
5. Post my finishes
6. Quilt and bind SAHRR quilt
7. Work on Christmas stitching projects

Our Thanksgiving was fast but joyful and fun! I always forget to take a group photo, so the above are a few I snapped while the older grands played with the littles.

Here is a sneak peek at my DashAlong quilt - post coming sometime this week!

Now it's time to show us your stuff! Please add your post to the link below then go visit a few blogs to spread the blog-love! Be sure to visit Marsha's Spot, since my website is quirky with taking you there.

  7. Spending time with family is good for the soul - sewing can wait. You'll get caught up on your to-do list, I'm sure! I just realized I didn't imbed the link to your site in my post (need to quit writing them late at night - LOL) Sorry!

  8. I'm awful about taking photos but looks like you got at least some good ones even if they aren't a group! (I had to coordinate the one you saw on IG weeks in advance!). Good luck with the to-do's. Christmas is sneaking up so quickly we all need to get our sew on!

  9. Well, we can always dream with our lists can't we! It is harder to get things done then I can imagine some days, but I am always pleasantly surprised when one gets crossed off the list. Here's to a good week for you!

  11. Nice pics of the grands. I actually prefer candid shots to posed photos. Your RBD block is pretty. And I’m looking forward to reading your Cookie Exchange post next week. Take care, Mary.

    1. I like those kind of photos too Mary. My Dad used to be able to take great candid photos, and no phone cameras - lol!
I'm looking forward to seeing all the recipes for the cookie exchange!

  12. It sounds like you had a fun, family filled Thanksgiving! Yes, it's hard to get our To Do lists finished during holiday gathers, but it looks like you had your priorities just right: family and fun! Your "teaser photo" of your Dash Along quilt is so well taken! It looks beautiful!

  13. Hi Linda! Is your Dash Along the quilt that you had wanted on your couch for Thanksgiving? I sure do love the fabrics you used to make it! What a wonderful holiday you had with all your peeps about. Isn't that just the BEST?!! I think the pandemic has really opened everyone's eyes to how important and meaningful these gatherings are to our mental health and overall wellbeing. Your RBD block reminds me of a butterfly - it's beautiful. Thanks so much for the linky party! Now it's time for a few visits. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  14. Sweet memories in the making! Once again we forgot to do family photos. My aunt from AZ has requested updates. But we never remember. Gah! As for quilting any little bit accomplished during the holidays is a win!
