Welcome to To Do Tuesday! Eeeek, I can't believe it's so close to Christmas! How are you doing on your get-ready-for-Christmas list? Yesterday we finally got our decorations out and started decorating the house. My husband's sister and nephew are coming for a visit tomorrow, so we got it done just in the nick of time.
May I say a word about how much I enjoy To Do Tuesday? I read all your posts, where I laugh, cry, find inspiration, and always feel a connection with you as I get to know you through your blogs. I am very grateful to have that opportunity to experience the friendship and kindness you each offer each week, so thank you! If you are reading this post, then please join in the fun, whether it's for one day a year, or each week. You don't have to be a quilter, you can post about anything you'd like to share, and you are welcome to join us. Find more information by clicking on the To Do Tuesday in my sidebar.
Here is the list of my goals last week:
✅1. Make photographs of my finished project and schedule my Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange post for Thursday December 9! Posted right here
❌2. Finish quilting Indian Corn - poor Indian Corn, still patiently waiting
❌3. Make new Pieces of the Santa Fe Trail block and post
✅4. Quilt and bind SAHRR and hang in entry hall - finished but put on our bed instead - looks great!
❌5. Cut pieces for a wedding quilt for my great-nephew
My plans for the coming week:
1. Post about my SAHRR quilt, which is now a Christmas quilt
2. Clean house for visiting SIL and nephew on Wednesday
3. Do a little babysitting on Thursday
4. Make a 36 x 36 Christmas wall quilt
And now it's time for you to link up! Tell us what you've been up to and what you are planning for this coming week, and go visit other blogs to see lots of holiday goodness!
Decorating for Christmas is lots of work, but rewarding when you finally get it taken care of! Hooray for a finish on your SAHRR, and looking forward to seeing it, too. Thanks for hosting us, Linda!
ReplyDeleteAwww....your sweet sentiments blessed me this morning! Since I started linking up to To Do Tuesday, my craft life is so much more productive! Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Season, Linda! Your decoration looks beautiful. Looking forward to seeing your SAHRR aka Christmas Quilt. Have a blessed week, and thanks for hosting To Do Tuesday for all of us.
ReplyDeletewe really enjoy you hosting it! Love the motivation and the connection to other quilters is something I would hate to be without!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Your kind words about our blogging friendships made me a little teary as I feel exactly the same way about friends I've met in the blogging world. Always interesting, inspiring and encouraging too, just like you. Thank you back!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteChin up, you'll get to where you want to be
in your quilting. There are so many distractions
this time of year. Have a great day!
Sweet post and i like that table you decorated. I have three little small trees i decorate every year. We don't get family up here in the mountains because they all live in different states and usually have gone down to our one son's house who lived down the mountain.
ReplyDeleteI told my husband yesterday I'd love to have room for a bedroom tree and a kitchen tree!
DeleteI understand it is especially hard to get together when you are in different states. Maybe someday?
Lovely decorations! Good luck with your week - look forward to your SAHRR, now Christmas Quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou have done such a great job hosting and commenting and cheering us on. I didn't get a post done this week, but I'll try to get one in next week. I haven't been in my sewing room much - I hope to change that today.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas decorating looks beautiful. Looking forward to seeing your SAHRR Christmas quilt.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary! I hope to get it posted sometime today. Have a great week!
DeleteLooking forward to seeing your Christmas quilt!
ReplyDeleteHi again, Linda! I didn't have a post to share this week - I didn't sew a single thing! I am so glad you are enjoying TDT. I am so thankful that you can carry on the weekly tradition. It really does help keep me motivated and on track! It is a lovely way to get to know new friends, and a lovely group, too. Your decorations looks so pretty! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
