Meet our two male puppers - Boomer, the 8 week old lab, and Baker, the 3 year old Red Heeler mix!
This past week has involved prepping for getting a little kitchen remodel, several days of trips to town, and then we lost our minds and adopted a puppy and a 3 year old dog! Needless to say, no time has been spent in the sewing room! My husband has wanted a puppy for many years, and we have missed canine companionship since we lost our Buddy last January.
Here were last week's goals:
❌1. RBD Challenge blocks
❌2. Pieces in the Garden row blocks
❌3. Wedding quilt blocks
No goals for me this week other than to maintain the chaos in the house. We had forgotten how much fun it is to housebreak a puppy! We will have a painter here painting our kitchen cabinets then installing a backsplash, so I don't anticipate any time in the sewing room.
Now it is your turn - what did you do last week, and what do you have planned this week? I love seeing the colorful array of links on To Do Tuesdays, and visiting your blogs is such fun. Come on and link your post below and be sure to visit other blogs - you'll be inspired for sure!

Well now you have your hands full, with the kitchen and the dogs. Big goals in themselves. Enjoy, they look delightful.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very busy week! Good luck with your new additions to the family, they both are really handsome guys.
ReplyDeleteOh boy! A kitchen remodel and two new dogs! That will add a lot to your week, Linda! The puppy is adorable and the 3 year old looks sweet. You'll have to show us the kitchen when it's all done - that's always so exciting!
ReplyDeletePuppies are cute but I wouldn't want one unless it was house trained and two dogs at the same time that are new - LOL are you crazy? Just teasing - hope it all goes well in your house getting used to new pets and getting the kitchen redone
ReplyDeleteBaker and Boomer will be your best friends ever. Love them.
ReplyDeleteSounds like there's never a dull moment there! How are the cats doing with the dogs?
ReplyDelete2 dogs at once! Let's hope the older dog loves the puppy and is a good mentor. And, then a little kitchen remodel...yikes...no wonder little sewing. Good luck with all the fun and love you will get from your new housemates!
ReplyDeleteSounds like things will be entertaining at your house for a while!
ReplyDeleteWow! You have tons going on this week! But, oh, how fabulous the new pups look! Beautiful eyes! Take care!
ReplyDeleteHandsome pups! Congratulations! You have lots to keep you busy, pups and a kitchen remodel!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! HAHAHAHA - you may have lost your mind but Boomer is one cute pup. I am certain that he will learn the ropes very quickly with Baker's patient guidance. How appropriate they were both laying comfortably on heart quilts, and on Valentine's Day no less. What a happy accident. Two new dogs plus a kitchen refresh. Yeah, you certainly have your hands full for the week. Thanks so much for the linky party today. I am happy to see your audience is steadily growing each week, and with new and tempting ideas to share. {{Hugs}} Happy Tuesday, my friend!! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteOh I’m so jealous. Both of those fur babies look so adorable! Have fun with them and don’t stress over the Reno! Sewing can wait with those distractions 😉
ReplyDeletei saw the new additions on instagram..but you are definitely busy with all that is going on. Those new kids are adorable. You're a brave woman. And I complain when Beanie only takes a few bites of her wet food and is done. Prices keep going up now..almost a dollar a can. This girl is going to be given all dry food soon, lol
ReplyDeleteYes pet food prices are crazy! We are only doing dry food for the two new ones at this point, and the four cats share a can of wet food morning and night, plus I'm feeding the stray kitties outside. I think we should apply for a grant or something - lol!
Deleteaawww sweet dogs there :) Glad you got to get a new puppy.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm glad most of the time, but in the middle of the night, not so much - !!!
DeleteWhat sweet faces!!! Oh, such a wonderful time of puppy breath and doggie adoration.
ReplyDeleteLittle late - what a cute set of doggies! Will be sending you a puppy to train for me - Joke. Hugs
