SAHRR Final block
I'll start things off with my goals from last week:
✅1. Do final round on SAHRR - a shoofly block - Done; see above photo
✔2. Work on Wedding Quilt - a tiny bit of progress
✔3. Do first row for Pieces in the Garden SAL (see sidebar for details) - Progress (see below)
The one completed Bow block is on top, and I have almost all the flying geese made for the other 11
The first row of Pieces In The Garden, comprised of twelve Bow blocks, is coming along slowly, and once it is finished I will begin the second row of 16 Friendship Stars, detailed in Melva's post right here.
My goals for the coming week:
1. Work on Wedding Quilt
2. Start on second row for Pieces In The Garden - friendship stars
3. Riley Black Quilt Challenge blocks #7 and #8
4. Think about a finish for the SAHRR block

Good job on your bows! I still need to start... thanks again for sharing my link and I hope you have a great week! xx
ReplyDeleteYour SAHRR turned out beautifully! Love the fabrics you are using in your other project. Happy stitching this week.
ReplyDeleteYour SAHRR looks great, Linda! I love the appliqued heart in the center, and the final border with the shoofly blocks frames everything perfectly. And your tray full of blocks in progress makes a fun photo! I need something like that - I'm always moving pieces and parts of things from here to there around my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteYour SAHRR is pretty, Linda, good job on this one, and the bow tie block is perfect, love it.
ReplyDeleteThe SAHRR block is so pretty! I love the little shoofly blocks in the corners. Looks like your other projects are going along nicely.
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job on SAHRR. I'm envious that you are done. I need to get back to it but other time-critical things have come up. Sigh. It looks like you have quite a few parts already made for your Pieces in the Garden top. Hope you can make good progress on all your projects this week.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved blue/yellow combo and what a great time of the year to work on it. So cheery and springy. Good luck with it--will be fun to watch (and I'm still crushing on your ruler trays!).
ReplyDeleteThose little shoo fly blocks nestled in the corners look so nice! You have some great projects going on!
ReplyDeleteYes, your SAHRR is lovely with so much beautiful detail! I am working on Melva's Row 1 as well. Your Flying Geese blocks are certainly beautiful! Take good care!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute little Shoofly blocks on your SAHRR!
ReplyDeleteYou did great on your SAHRR! Good luck with your week and getting done what you would like.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteYour SAHRR is awesome! Love the colors you used. Have a great day!
Oooh! I love this block, that little heart in the center is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteYour SAHRR has finished up really well. Looking forward to seeing it quilted. You are moving along to with your SAL. I love those colours in a quilt.
ReplyDeleteI Love your SAHRR, Linda! I especially love how you appliqued the heart! What a perfect place for it! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Thanks so much for the linky party today! It looks like many have shared some great projects for us to check out. Gosh, I love how your SAHRR has come together. The final border with the shoo sly blocks really puts a period on it. I think my favorite row, not including the center block, is the rail fence pieces. Wow, those really look great and direct our attention to the center! Great job. I love the fabrics you chose for your bow block! It's so darn cute. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteLove the way your SAHRR is turning out. Any progress on the wedding quilt is a good thing! Good luck with your week.
ReplyDeleteLove your RR!! And that little block is precious. Thanks for the party!
ReplyDeleteafter 5 weeks I just got home from my mom's to actually sit in my computer chair and sleep in my own bed instead of on her couch. I feel so guilty for coming home! My daughter will soon go for 5 more days of chemo and we aren't getting very far on the transplant.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home, but so sorry about your daughter. I understand the guilt, but you need to recoop! Keep us posted on everything when you have time.
DeleteYour quilts are amazing. I really like the blues and yellows you show on the table.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandy!
