I kept my goals simple last week:
✅1. Work on Wedding Quilt - Progress was made - I had to reorganize the pieces for the blocks, and some of the labels were missing. My kitty assistants are suspected.
✅2. Access Passport To Quilting - I saved a few patterns and enjoyed visiting the websites.
I did finish the Riley Blake Designs challenge block, which I forgot to put on my list. I had a few missteps but they will not be seen from a galloping horse, and I like the final result. There are only two more blocks to go! Other than that, we had appointments last week and yesterday and worked in the yard a few times, so the sewing room was not visited too often.
Here are my goals for the coming week:
1. Wedding Quilt - get blocks sewn together
2. RBD block challenge #15 - pattern comes out today
3. Work on Pieces in the Garden block #4
4. Garden activity - I have plants growing in our veggie garden and our first marble sized tomato!
5. A belated birthday party for our two Littles, who are coming to visit with our daughter Saturday.
I can't wait to see what you have to link up this week! I am constantly amazed and inspired and entertained by your posts. I love your RBC butterfly block, we sure had to keep our wits about us making that one. I didn't realise we only have a couple more to go, that makes me happy actually. Oh dear, naughty kitties!
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly block is so cute! Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteCute butterfly. This block looks perfect for a Rainbow Scrap collection. Good luck with your goals for this week, Linda.
ReplyDeletethat is an interesting block!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for making progress on the wedding quilt. Not knowing when the wedding is (was?) I've been concerned that you haven't touched it for weeks. Or so it seems! I admire happy gardeners but ugh, I'd rather stay indoors.
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly block is just the cutest Linda. Hope your hubby is feeling okay after the implant surgery and that the birthday party will be fun! Enjoy family time and those gardening chores.
ReplyDeleteCute Butterfly block! Thank goodness for galloping horses! I'll have to remember that one. Some one asked recently how far away one has to be to not notice mistakes. Sometimes we take ourselves too seriously when we see mistakes no one else would ever notice!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I had to chuckle at hearing that your kitty assistants MAY have moved/removed some labels for you. When the weather is nice, don't you find it more difficult to sew? I sure do - at least at the start of the nice weather. Once it gets HOT, then I'm happy to be inside. The birthday party this weekend sounds like fun - we're big fans of celebrating birthdays for many days or even a birthday month! Thanks so much for the linky party. There are so many intriguing thumbnail photos to check out today. Good luck with your list this week! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Your mosaic butterfly block is awesome! Good luck with your goals this week!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe that I forgot to do a to-do list last week, but I made sure to get it in my post this week!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I bet not making a list didn't keep you from doing a whole bunch of things, Marsha! :)
DeleteYour mosaic butterfly block is so pretty! Wow! I have my Pieces of the Garden cut out and will also be working on them. Happy sewing and congratulations on finishing such a beautiful block!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Getting all those little pieces cut out and ready to sew is a big accomplishment for Pieces of the Garden!.
DeleteYour comment is coming through as "Anonymous", so I hope you'll come back and let me know your blog name or Instagram name. :)
just stopping by to see if you are working on quilts, playing in your garden, chasing the pets around the yard and having fun or seeing grandkids. Hope you are enjoying spring. Are you also having windy days? Seems like much more wind events than ever before and I've read other people in other states saying the same thing.
ReplyDeleteHaha yes all of the above! Our winds have actually lessened somewhat but every time we have a front coming through, the winds precede it. Hope you are doing well Sandy!
DeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI really like your Butterfly block, so pretty.
