Finished up the coin purses!
Last week my goals were:
✅1. Keep quilting on The Wedding Quilt - DONE! Finished the quilting, just need the binding.
✅2. Try to get some plans going for the RBD quilt - I have a plan and have ordered fabric for finishing!
✅3. Coin purses and hat - Finished the coin purses (see above); some progress on the hat
❌4. Wall hanging and Christmas quilt - get pieces cut - Did not do - my fabric pulls are waiting patiently
✔5. Sunday - celebrate our daughter's 47th birthday and our 53rd wedding anniversary! - Jenni had a deadline for her job (she got a job that she can do at home!), so we postponed our get-together. But we did "celebrate" our 53rd with a quiet day and steaks on the Blackstone.
Joy of Days Filled With Joy has started a Mystery Autumn Stitchalong - you can get the first part of it right here and the next part will be posted on her blog on Friday.
RBD quilt blocks and backing
The playlist for the coming week:
1. Work on RBD quilt
2. Crochet hat
3. Wall hanging and Christmas quilt
4. See Jenni and The Littles when we go to Laney's soccer game on Saturday
5. Do some cross stitching in the evening

Happy anniversary, Linda! Great job on your goals. I really love those cute little coin purses!
ReplyDeleteYour coin purses are so fun! Are they tricky to make? I'll have to join in on that Autumn SAL mystery - I've never done an embroidery mystery! Happy Birthday to your daughter, and happy anniversary to the two of you. Special days!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, Linda. What a wonderful milestone. It sounds like ya'll had a very lovely day. Your change purses are as darling as can be and thank you so much for the link to Joy's SAL. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLinda those purses look absolutely amazing, I love all of them. Well done with the Wedding quilt and all the best for working on the RBD quilt.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Sounds like you had a nice quiet evening at home, that's how we normally celebrate also. I'm glad your daughter has found a job that is more convenient. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteThose coin purses are adorable! The stitch-along is tempting—something to think about. Have a great week, and thanks for hosting the linky party.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on your anniversary. I have noticed this past month or two I am constantly having to put my name in the space as it keeps switching it back to anonymous - that might be happening to some of your other readers as well. I have no clue why it keeps changing it on me. It used to be saved permanently
ReplyDeleteWow! The coin purses turned out fabulous. So so pretty!. Glad you got to celebrate your anniversary. Sometimes you don't need a fancy dinner out, just a special one at home. Now, you and several other contributors are enabling my stitching passion. So many cute designs mentioned and linked!! Oh my!!
ReplyDeleteThose coin purses are super cute! I love all of the fabric that you’ve chosen for them, but then I’m guessing that you use off cuts. I’m curious as to how the hardware is attached. Is it cemented to the fabric? I know nothing about sewing.
ReplyDeleteIt always blows my mind how blogger loves to attempt to fix things that aren’t broken. Every time I try to comment on your blog using my name and URL, I’m told that the URL is invalid. Well, it hasn’t been invalid for the past 10 years, so I’m not sure what the issue is. At any rate, I have learned that commenting anonymously is the only thing that works. Pattie @ Olla-Podrida
I too love those cute coin purses. What a great job you did on those! Also the wonderful Wedding Quilt. A keep sake for sure. I will look into that SAL, thanks for mentioning. Meanwhile, enjoy your stitching this week and a very happy anniversary to you both!
