Magazine photo of Classic Comforts by Wendy Sheppard of Ivory Spring
I want to make myself a Christmas quilt! I love this pattern by Wendy Sheppard. It is in Quilts and More Winter 2022, and I purchased the back issue magazine on eBay. I have no idea if I will actually finish it before Christmas, but it will be a fun project!
Playlist for this coming week:
1. RBD quilt
2. Gather plaids for Christmas quilt! - See photo above
3. Evening needlework
4. Christmas decorations
5. Babysit Little Everett while older sister Delaney goes to a birthday party on Saturday
And now it time for you to share! We want to see what you are making, reading, eating, photographing, etc! Just click on the link below and add your post to the 25+ bloggers who join us each week.
Christmas time can be busy and you can only do what you can do. The Christmas pattern looks very nice, I guess maybe not finished for this Christmas but next?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your post for the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange. Classic conforts is a beautiful quilt and looks like an easy one, just perfect for the season. Are you planning to make it with flanel or normal quilting fabric?
ReplyDeleteThat is a really pretty Christmas quilt design! I love anything in Christmas colors. Looking forward to your blog hop post, too. I was reading through the posts yesterday, and wanted to make every single one of the treats!
ReplyDeleteI am also looking forward to your day on the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange hop.
ReplyDeleteI like the Christmas Quilt, but I would never get it done by this Christmas season. I made ours several years ago, but not big enough for our bed. It’s a couch quilt! I love it though!
I understand the Christmas crunch, Linda. I’m hurriedly finishing the binding on one gift now. Remember to breathe.

Haha, yes I do need to do that don't I? :D
DeleteI would LOVE to be able to make a Christmas quilt! I did buy a nice one last year, but of course it isn't home made. I do love the one in the picture. Pattie @ Olla-Podrida
ReplyDeleteI hear that scream and second it! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteHard to believe it's December. I may make a few small things for stockings, but I gave up on trying to get a lot of sewing done before the holidays, it just stresses me out. Good luck with all your plans for this week.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Thanks for hosting today! First TDT in December. EEK! There are only four Tuesdays in December so the year is rapidly approaching an end. I love Wendy Sheppard patterns, too. That looks like a fun project to make - NOT for this Christmas, though. Please don't add that stress to your plate. If it happens, that's fabulous but you'd still be shortchanged on enjoying it on your bed. It's gorgeous! I can't wait to see your fabric choices. You have a wonderful eye for that, I think. Have fun with little Everett! It is difficult to do anything but enjoy them! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteI do love Wendy Sheppard's designs! I hope you do get that Christmas quilt made!
ReplyDeleteI've not even started last year's list of Christmas quilted gifts! Other things keep popping up in front. There is always next year, right!?
I’m sure I heard your scream from here Linda! You do have a busy list, but I can sure understand your wanting to make a new Christmas quilt after seeing the photo. It is a beauty. 😉
ReplyDeleteAnd for some reason I can’t post with my name showing. There is some conflict between blogger and Google going on. Carol @ https://quiltschmilt.ca/2022/12/04/sunday-update-and-todo-tuesday-119/
ReplyDeleteHi Linda: Checking in this week and saw I need to read your Cookie Exchange post. When I am done here, I will be jumping over there. So excited for you. I have started several Christmas quilts. Only one have I ever finished and it ended up going to someone as a wedding gift. Now I am anxious to finish one for myself. Plaids sound like the perfect way to do it and that pattern looks fun! You have your hands full this week. Good luck and thank you again for being such an awesome host!
ReplyDeleteAh thanks Peggy you are so sweet! I sure hope you see my replies on here, because I don't have your email address. I hear you on the Christmas quilts. I have them in various stages but never seem to finish the ones I want the most - lol!
