Peggy of Quilts and Adventures and Jeanna of Slammin' The Screen Door, regularly tempt me with their cross stitch projects, and I noticed Jeanna participates in the Friday Night Sew In (F.N.S.I.), hosted by Wendy at Sugarlane Designs blog. There is also a Facebook group, and I thought this might be good motivation for me to work on a Christmas project.
Joy of Days Filled With Joy has a Christmas In July Stitchalong that began a few weeks ago. Tonight is catch-up night for this cute little design!
I hope to blog about this pumpkin stocking on the next FNSI. Again, Jeanna to blame!
I am linking to Wendy's FNSI
Oh Linda so glad you’ve been “enabled” to join in! It’s always lovely to find encouragement in our crafty community! Welcome! And I can’t wait to watch this grow! Xx sugary hugs
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI will need to look at the links you shared - looks like a good stitching project
ReplyDeleteNice stitchery to work on. Love your needle minder.
ReplyDeleteYes, that Jeanna is a master at "enabling"....that is a lovely project - welcome to FNSI
ReplyDeleteJeanna is always tempting me with her cross-stitch work, too! The Christmas project looks like an enjoyable one to work on. Hope you got lots done! I'll have to check out that Friday Night link-up - I've seen people mention it, but never joined in.
ReplyDeleteYes that Jeanna is a hardy stitching gal isn't she. I love seeing her work. Your Christmas sampler should go pretty fast and then onto that stocking!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, both are fun projects! Happy stitching this week.
ReplyDeleteGood to have you along Linda. This looks like a great project and I look forward to seeing its progress next time. xx
ReplyDeleteNothing like a bit of embroidery to get you going. Looks like it will be really lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas embroidery is going to be lovely. I follow Jeanna too and that Olga's stocking has been on my list too. I'm starting on Halloween ornaments for my grands. I can't wait to see your progress! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra!
DeleteAdorable!! I have given up on cross-stitch, just not enough eye power!
ReplyDeleteI need to research the Christmas Sampler. I remember something similar from last year. Gorgeous Stocking! Are you a center starter? I always make at least a few stitches in the center and then try to find the top. I like to stitch from the top down though.
ReplyDeleteIt is always wonderful to have stitching friends to enable you into projects. Hee! Hee! I hope you made great progress on Joy's SAL, Linda. I have been working on it myself. Have a wonderful week. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteGreat projects for evenings or anytime of the day, Linda!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! Your stitches are so pretty, Linda! I look forward to seeing more.

I have always admired the results you can get with cross stitch projects, and it is so much more portable than most quilting projects. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love the stuff from Plum Street! I have quite a few of their charts, some of which I’ve actually done. I picked up my cross stitching a couple of weeks ago and have been cross stitching mystery bookmarks for my Etsy shop. It’s not so easy to do these days with my numb hands, but I’m getting there, and I’m enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteThese are some fabulous projects to work on this weekend, Linda. Great start on Joy's SAL. I need to FFO mine. Have you already started dreaming up a finish for yours. Aaaah Olga's Stocking . It is going to be gorgeous. I love watching Jeanna work on hers. Have a great weekend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteoooh so pretty! Catching up on blog... did you finish either project?! xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're going to be busy making some cute projects. I've eyed a few cross stitch patterns in the last few months because I do not have as many quilting ideas as I used to. I think I've mostly made the ones I used to be excited about. I don't think I've visited your blog for a long time so it was fun to go back and see the graduations, and engagements, and especially that cherry pie!!! Enjoy your stitching.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty SAL, Linda. And that Plum Street project is sweet. Happy Stitching from me!
